Start Menu and OK Buttons on the H/W Keyboard

If you would like to add custom keys (including Start and OK buttons) see here for customizing the Touch Pro Keyboard: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=424905 (Post #7 and #12)

Activating Voice Dialing

Usually on any headset or carkit, wired or via Bluetooth, or even on the phone itself, holding down the talk/call/answer button will activate the Voice Dialing. For the Touch Pro this means that the built-in Voice Dailling application will start, but if you want an alternative voice command application like the MS Voice Command or Fonix VoiceCentral application to be started instead of the included Voice Dialer, you can try one of the methods below. You can either:

a. Record a voice tag for the voice control application. Once the voice application is loaded, it will accept your voice commands from there on in.

  1. press and hold the talk key / button until you hear a beep(ing tone)
  2. if a voice tag hadn't already been recorded for the voice application, you can now record one. To do so

    • tap the Settings soft-menu key on the bottom right,
    • select the Application tab,
    • select the voice application from the list,
    • tap the record button and say the text for the voice tag
    • the voice tag will be played back to you for confirmation (if not press the play button to hear it)
    • press ok to close the Voice Dailling application and start again from step 1
  3. if a voice tag had already been recorded for the voice application, say it and check if the voice application is started (the voice tag will be played back to you before carrying out the request)

This solution does not require any registry modifications and leaves the use of the standard Voice Dialer intact, but requires an extra voice command. If you don't want the extra step and don't mind editing the registry you can also

b. Create or change the following value in the registry:

HKLM\Software\OEM\VoiceCommand\Path = \WINDOWS\sddialer.exe(this is the default by the way, should you want to restore it)

to the path and executable for the voice application. Do NOT surround the path with " " (quotes) if the path has a space in it (eg. \Program Files\MS\VoiceCommand) as that will not work.

Now you are able to start your voice application with your USB headset talk button as well as your phone's talk button, since you've modified the application associated with VoiceCommand itself, and not just the Call button assignment.

Look for this part: <inbox:content id="COMPOSESUBJECT" width="98%" height=35 spell...

By changing the 'height' (in this case 35) to 50 or 70 you will get 3 or 4 lines for text replies, respectively.

Soft reset after editing the file.

Change Arcsoft MMS Settings To Receive Any File Type

By Default Arcsoft servers are setup for MMS. ATT changes them as well as HTC so that only certain items may be received. If an Item is determined to be excluded you will get a MMS message minus the content but with a new txt document stating, 'One or more of the message components have been deleted by MMS Adaption.......' A common file to be denied is MP3. Someone may try to send you a MP3 as a ringtone but you can't receive it because mms adaption blocks it. Make the changes below which are Arcsofts default settings to disable MMS Adaption and freely receive content.

Navigate to "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Arcsoft\ArcSoft MMS UA\Config\mm1\WspHeader".

Change "User-Agent" to value="ArcSoft/MMSUA/PPC/v4.0".

Change "x-wap-profile" to value="http://www.arcsoft.com/mobile/UAProf/ArcSoft-MMSUA-PPC-v40.xml"
