Overview:

The HTC Magic is an Android powered mobile designed to turn heads with its chic design, and command attention with its advanced list of capabilities. Ready to always keep you in the know… it provides the Google suite of services like Mail, Search and Maps geared up for use in the palm of your hand. Further enhanced with video capture and support for tunes via Bluetooth wireless headsets, the HTC Magic is a true entertainment and media powerhouse.

Different versions of HTC Sapphire

Please Note: There are two different versions of the HTC Sapphire

  • a HTC version with PVT32A, 288MB RAM, and HTC software additions such as Exchange support, PDF Viewer, and ?QuickOffice. (PVT32A)
  • a Google version with PVT32B, 192MB RAM and 'Google' branding. (PVT32B)

IMPORTANT: These versions require different boot images and wireless lan kernel modules - so you need to determine which one of these you have before you go installing new roms.

To determine which rom you have, please Power off your phone (hold power for a couple of seconds and select Power Down) - once off hold down the Back button and Press Power. This will drop you into Fastboot mode and the top of the screen should have all of your ROM information, including which PVT you have, SPL and Radio versions. Note this down and make sure you use roms that are designed for this version.

  • Weight: 118.5 grams ( 4.18 ounces) with battery
  • Display: 3.2-inch TFT-LCD flat touch-sensitive screen with 320x480 HVGA resolution
  • Network: WCDMA/HSDPA: 900/2100 MHz GSM/GPRS/EDGE: 850/900/1800/1900 MHz (The device will operate on frequencies available from the cellular network.)
  • Device Control: Trackball with Enter button
  • Connectivity: Bluetooth® 2.0 with EDR Wi-Fi®: IEEE 802.11 b/g GPS antenna connector
  • Camera: 3.2 megapixel CMOS color with auto focus
  • Audio: Built-in microphone and speaker Ring tone supported formats: MP3, AAC, AAC+, WMA, WAV, and AMR-NB
  • Battery: 1340 mAh rechargeable Li-polymer battery
  • Standby time: Up to 660 hours for WCDMA Up to 420 hours for GSM
  • Talk time: Up to 400 minutes for WCDMA Up to 450 minutes for GSM
  • Expansion Slot: microSD memory card (SD 2.0 compatible)
  • AC Adapter: Voltage range/frequency: 100 240V AC, 47/63Hz DC output: 5V and 1A
