Now here's a funny one: the XDA stores the SIM-PIN you type in the registry. This means that after you've entered a SIM-PIN once on the device, you can always retrieve it. The PIN is stored in the first four bytes of a 256 byte binary block stored in
Since there is no registry editor on the XDA, we've created a small program called ShowPIN, to show your PIN in case you have forgotten it. ShowPIN is a Pocket PC executable, meaning you can't run it on your windows pc, but have to transfer it using the browse function on ActiveSync or manually copy it to your XDA (SD Card, Bluetooth-etc) and run it on that.
ShowPIN only shows the last PINs that was entered on the XDA, it is not a means of getting a PIN from a SIM which was never used in that XDA.
