Typhoon Flashing Methods

there are several ways to flash the typhoon rom.

  1. via an sdcard image

    • create the sdcard image using typhoonnbfdecode and write it to sdcard using psdwrite
    • problem: with newer bootloaders, or cid-locked phone you can only upgrade
  2. via an nbf and romupdateutility, see TyphoonUpgradeMechanism

    • create the nbf image using typhoonnbfdecode
    • problem: with newer bootloaders and cid-locked phone, only signed upgrades are accepted.
  3. via TyphoonNbfTools

    • only supports 4 specific bootloaders
  4. does not yet work properly - via pdocwrite

    • WARNING: don't try this. I first have to fix itsutils+pdocwrite to support the correct sectorsize. but when i fix that, it should support flashing all bootloaders.
    • your phone needs to be application-unlocked for this
  5. via bootloader 'l c:\spl.bin' command.

    • have not actually tried this, but i think it should work
    • you need to convert your spl to .bin format first.
